Keeping Your Artificial Turf Cool All Summer Long in Florida

Florida summers are no joke — and by July, every surface outside is hot enough to make you think twice about going barefoot. The good news? With the right setup, your Supreme Greens turf can stay comfortable even on the hottest days.

How to Keep Your Turf Cool & Comfortable

Infill matters. Our standard infill helps dissipate heat faster and improves drainage, so your turf stays firmer and cooler than basic turf setups.

  • T-Cool® upgrade. This optional infill drops surface temperatures by 30–50°F using evaporative cooling, activated by rain, dew, or a quick hose-down. One watering can keep the surface cool for up to four days.

  • Shade helps too. Pergolas, umbrellas, or strategically placed trees can make a big difference on play areas, pet zones, or lounge spots.

  • The quick water trick. On peak heat days, a light rinse before barefoot time — morning or evening — cools the surface fast, and uses far less water than keeping natural grass alive all summer.

Bottom line: with the right infill and a few easy habits, your turf can stay barefoot-friendly all July long, without the mowing, mud, or maintenance natural grass demands.
